Well … stranger things have happened, I guess.
For the past year and some change I’ve been working as a live-in scribe. My employer, a brilliant scientist that lost both his hands in a bet on the Super Bowl, hired me to transcribe all of his thoughts and experiments into writing. Due to an eclectic approach to his work, he was left with no choice other than to hire me to live with him as well. The work can be rigorous at times, but he’s mindful of my desire to have a real life as well; I’m paid handsomely and he gives me time off whenever possible.

During one frantic moment, however, he was fussing over the Skil 48 LED Multi-Purpose Utility Light. I ran into the room at the sound of his yelling to see him standing on a desk with papers scattered everywhere. Calculations piled up on the chalkboard, most likely readable by him alone. At first I couldn’t figure out why he was screaming, but soon I realized that he was trying to turn off the Skil Utility Light but the LEDs were so bright he could barely see and he also didn’t have any hands. Hastily I came to his rescue.

“Wow, thanks for that one Hubert,” he said.

“No problem.”

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention he always calls me Hubert. I don’t know why he does this; my name is Jack.
