I’m prepared for ANYTHING!
We’ve been driving for hours and he still hasn’t shut up. Over and over he keeps telling us how he’s more prepared for travel than us. He says any situation that happens while traveling is a situation he would be able to handle better than any of the rest of us. It’s insufferable.
“I’m glad my shirt hasn’t ripped, but it’s alright if it does because I have a sewing kit!”
We’ve pretty much stopped talking to him at this point in a last ditch effort to quiet him down, but that didn’t work.
“Do any of you guys have a sewing kit on you? Oh wait, you didn’t buy the Totes 17-Piece Personal Care Travel Set so you DON’T!”
“Well,” I say. “Since you have one I guess it isn’t a big deal then, is it?”

I notice that my friend Karl in the passenger seat has been fuming for the past few minutes. I can tell he’s on the verge of exploding.
“I’d be ready for ANYTHING!” he continues.
“What about a flood, huh? What if the entire area started filling up with water? You gonna ward it off with your shiny shoes?”
“No,” he responded matter-of-factly. “I’d use the travel case to scoop the water away! Wow, I LOVE being prepared!”
