The news was devastating.
I honestly couldn’t believe it. I was right about to write a product description for the EZ Storage Solutions Collapsible Trunk Organizer and Cooler when I heard the news: Dwight Howard was getting surgery and was going to be out for the rest of the season, the playoffs and the Olympics.
Despite not being from Orlando, or even being a fan of the Magic, I was deeply saddened. So saddened that I asked my boss if I could have the rest of the day off, to which he wordlessly told me to get back to work.
But how am I supposed to think about how this trunk organizer can hold up to 40 pounds when I know there are disgruntled Magic fans preparing for a playoff series they will almost certainly lose.
Haven’t they been through enough? I thought to myself. What a terrible season for them, with their play overshadowed with childish drama fit more for a high school basketball team rather than an NBA team.
The fact that the trunk organizer had a cooler and also a pocket for storing maps didn’t faze me; I was too preoccupied with Team USA’s low post presence and whether or not they would be able to protect it from the likes of Pau Gasol.
Only time will tell, I suppose. Until then, I’ll try to take as much solace as possible in the fact that this trunk organizer is also collapsible, thus allowing me to organize my trunk whenever I please.
