A slow waterfall of drool spills out of the corner of a sleeping man’s mouth onto my shoulder in between the bare walls of Dan’s Discount Dentistry’s waiting room. I’ve been waiting for an appointment for the past hour and a half despite multiple assurances that I would be in and out within a quarter of the time. Now, with drool accumulating on my cashmere sweater, I contemplate walking next door to the windowless dilapidated building marked only with the word DENTIST … the S replaced with a dirt line as the letter itself was missing.
I press my index finger to the sleeping man’s forehead and gently push him in the opposite direction; he doesn’t wake up. I then open my Genuine Suede Leather Luxury Handbag and pull out some tissues to wipe the saliva off my shoulder.

At that, I stand up and leave without speaking another word. I think I hear my name on the way out, but I don’t bother checking.
