The police readied the battering ram to get the pot fiend.
Officer Conrad Markinson had never been in this kind of situation before. While he had been around long enough to feel at home amongst the rest of the station, he still hadn’t joined the force that long ago. This operation was the first time he was seeing some real action.
“Markinson, get behind me,” says Foley; Conrad doesn’t waste any time following the order.
“Alright boys, this is the real deal,” Foley continues as Conrad gets into his position. “There is at least one pot fiend in there and he isn’t coming out. He may be armed, he may not be. If not, do not shoot. I cannot stress that enough. If that person is unarmed and someone shoots, the shooter can expect to lose their badge.”
Conrad takes a deep breath and readies his gun. The strike team is about six people, with the front two holding on to the battering ram. In one swift movement they break the door down into the lair of the pot fiend. Conrad nearly turns white when he sees what’s inside.
Not only did the fiend have a Pyrex 10-Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set, but he must have hundreds of them. Cardboard boxes, some full, litter the room; the pot fiend is obviously dealing. The fiend inside was sitting on the couch confused, most likely due to his terrible habits.
“Get him Markinson!” Foley yells.
Conrad runs over to the couch and tackles the guy.
“Good job, Markinson. This pot fiend is going away for a long time.”
