It was a madhouse after the discovery.
On a clear day that began as ordinary as any, Adam was strolling along in a clothing store spouting interesting facts about Abraham Lincoln. He wasn't looking to buy any clothes, just to educate people on the fascinating 16th President of the United States of America. He snuck around below the clothes racks so that no one would see him coming, then he would pop up either behind them or, if it was a circular rack, in the middle hole.
“Did you know that Abraham Lincoln once spent 4 years living in the home of a man that he did not know? They slept in the same bed too.”
“Did you know that Abraham Lincoln could pick a man up over his head and throw him?”
Upon hearing these things the customers, understandably, engaged Adam in conversation, asking for more information about Lincoln and his adventures.
“Ah, but everybody only gets one,” he would say each time a request for another fun fact came up.
It was at this moment that Adam brushed by a clothes rack that had been damaged. On one section of the rack a small piece of shrapnel was sticking out and it sliced Adam's arm when he moved by it. To everyone's surprise, money spilled out instead of blood.
“Are you ... made of money?” one person said with an incredulous look in their eyes.
Adam looked from one person to the next to the next. In an instant, everything changed. The crowd of customers now became a mob attempting to extract the money out of Adam. He ran as fast as he could, fortunately that was enough for the time being. He found a storage room in the store somewhere in the basement where he hid out.
