I’d never been part of a team before. Each team I tried to join either cut me before any sort of competition started, or they tricked me into thinking that I would win the lottery if I quit. I’m still waiting on a few of those lottery payments, but that’s beside the point.
My plan this time was to set up the Northpole 12ft Oversized Sports Team/Beach Cabana in my front yard and wait for a team to show up. It took roughly four years, but eventually a cross country team ran by my house and a few of the stragglers decided to lounge in my tent.
“Hey guys!” I shouted, popping out from the bushes. “Can I be on the team now?”
Before they could answer they ran away. I couldn’t tell if they were scared or if their coach was yelling at them to keep up.
It was probably the latter, the former doesn’t really make sense.
