He would do anything for chocolate.
Jerry stood outside his house in the front yard, holding in his hands a bag full of chocolate he had just purchased at the store. Jerry loved chocolate more than anything; just thinking about chocolate would make him salivate. As a result of this obsession, he would go out to the store once or twice a day and buy a few pounds of the stuff.
“Hey Jerry,” said his neighbor. “Can I have some of your chocolate?”
“No way,” he responded. “Get your own!”
His neighbor didn’t like that answer. He again asked, illustrating that any sane person wouldn’t need as much chocolate as Jerry had in his possession. The answer, however, was the same.
“Fine … jerk,” his neighbor said finally.
He turned to leave, but when Jerry was distracted he darted back and grabbed his bag of chocolate. Jerry chased him around the yard for a bit before his neighbor, sensing there was only one way out of the situation, tossed the bag up onto the roof of Jerry’s house.
“Ha!” he exclaimed, running away. “Try to get your precious chocolate now!”
