Hello? Is anyone in there?
I was on a hike, but the longer I walked the more I felt I was headed in the wrong direction. Not only did I feel I was headed in the wrong direction, but I felt I had been heading that way for some time. I had a compass, but without a map I wasn’t confident with any choice of direction. It was at that point I saw the cave.
Rather inconspicuous, I probably wouldn’t have seen it if I wasn’t standing in one place looking around for a sign of direction. It appeared sunken into the ground and it was mostly covered with foliage. The opening was wide, but only about 10 feet tall at the most. Despite a strange, popcorn-like smell emanating from the cave, I decided to enter.
Using my Gan Canyon 12 LED Camping Lantern to illuminate the path, I slowly entered the cave. The popcorn smell gradually became stronger and strong and, once I had gotten a ways inside, I began to hear groaning noises. All the signs pointed towards something I didn’t want to approach, but I was peculiarly drawn to the situation and onward I marched. You’ll never believe what I saw.
Nothing. There was nothing there so I turned around and went home.
