Someone came up to me while I was eating, supposedly with good news. When they started talking, I had just taken a bite of the most majestic sandwich I had ever assembled on my own. Spicy turkey, provolone cheese, bacon, spinach, black olives, banana peppers, sprouts, tomato slices and hot sauce combined to make an absolutely marvelous flavor.

“Don’t tell me that,” I snarled, precious bits of sandwich flying out of my mouth, thus angering me further.
“Why did you stress the ‘that’ in that sentence?” he asked.
